Job summary

The CFO HQ in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance function and drive strategic financial direction. You will manage a team of six, own reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and partner with the senior leadership team to deliver robust commercial insights.

This role requires a fully qualified accountant with a track record at Head of Finance or Finance Director level, strong governance, and experience managing audit processes.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience at Head of Finance/Finance Director level.
• Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting and audit.
• Strong people management and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proactive with commercial insight.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a finance team of six.
• Take ownership of financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Act as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing commercial insight and financial challenge.
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital and financial controls.
• Lead the year-end audit and statutory reporting processes.
• Drive improvements across financial systems, processes and reporting.
• Support strategic planning, financial modelling and commercial decision-making.
• Ensure strong financial governance and compliance.
