Job summary

Royal Mail Group seeks an exceptional RM Financial Controller to lead financial control, external reporting and governance across the UK business. A senior leadership role reporting to the Director of Group Finance, with accountability for reporting integrity and balance sheet stewardship.

You will influence senior finance leaders and manage large, dispersed teams while driving continuous improvement and supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation and finance modernisation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with senior leadership experience in financial accounting, external reporting and controls.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with complex accounting judgements.
• Experience supporting Group consolidation, statutory reporting and external audit.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial control, balance sheet governance and external reporting across the Royal Mail group and Corporate Centre.
• Own UK inputs into Group consolidation and oversee robust external reporting.
• Lead statutory reporting, annual reporting and external audit activity.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and IFRS interpretation; strengthen controls environment.
• Prepare Board and Audit Committee papers with insights on risks and judgements.
• Lead finance transformation programmes ensuring governance and controls throughout change.
• Develop and inspire large-scale finance teams across locations.
