Job summary

Westminster School is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead the finance team and manage day-to-day financial operations for the School and associated charities. The role covers month-end and year-end close, sales, purchase and general ledgers, and fixed asset management.

You will drive strong controls, ensure accurate trial balances, and provide timely management information for senior stakeholders, with a focus on compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a finance team and managing month-end and year-end processes.
• Ability to produce accurate management accounts and annual accounts.
• Strong control environment and regulatory compliance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end accounting processes to deliver timely trial balance.
• Support year-end to deliver clean audit and annual accounts.
• Oversee billing, purchase-to-invoice cycles, and income collection.
