Job summary

Distinct | B Corp in East Midlands is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner – Manufacturing to work in a hybrid model (two days on site). You’ll partner with site leadership on labour efficiency, capacity, production planning and working capital as the plant scales.

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and manufacturing finance experience are essential; you’ll drive cost of quality, shape reporting, and align site metrics with the group.

Senior Finance Business Partner – Manufacturing

East Midlands, hybrid (two days on site) | £75,000 to £80,000 + private healthcare

What would you do with a factory whose order book is growing faster than its output?

Very few finance people get to help a factory reinvent how it makes things. This one has built its reputation on one-off, engineered products, and demand has grown to the point where it now needs to produce them at scale. That means new ways of planning, costing and measuring almost everything, and the finance partner sitting next to the site leadership will have a big say in how it’s done.

It’s part of the UK business of a global engineering group that’s investing heavily in manufacturing capacity around the world, so there’s real money and long-term commitment behind the plan. You’ll be bringing the site in line with the group’s other factories, which means exposure to how a much larger operation runs and people across the group who’ll see your work.

You won’t be doing it alone. You’d be one of two new business partners working as a pair, with an FP&A hire to follow, in a finance team where the standard is high and still rising.

Day to day you’ll partner the site leadership team on labour efficiency, capacity and production planning, stock and working capital, and margin. You’ll put numbers on the cost of quality, and help shape the systems and reporting as the site scales up.

You’ll be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with manufacturing or engineering finance experience. You’ll be happy on the shop floor and comfortable leading change in both processes and systems.

It’s a permanent role, two days a week on site with some time at head office, and the rest from home.
