This is a permanent role based at either London Waterloo or The Quadrant:MK, with consideration for other NR locations. It is a full-time position with flexible working patterns.

Band & Salary: 3C £55,596 - £63,797 (dependent on experience)

About the Role

Join the Property Finance team supporting Network Rail's property ambitions, including project support, town planning, land strategy, and commercial income generation. This role offers a chance to influence financial support for new property developments and oversee management accounting for Property Sales & Developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consolidate and review financial results and forecasts, providing technical advice on risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee accounts, analyses, business plans, and budgets.
• Understand cost and income drivers to guide financial strategy.
• Influence and coach stakeholders to improve financial understanding.
• Evaluate budgets, promote cost-saving initiatives, and manage KPIs.
• Collaborate with senior leaders on opportunities and investment decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Membership or working towards membership of CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels.
• Proven experience in managing complex financial environments, including risk management, control, and planning.
• Strong record in budget management, governance, and financial analysis.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and make sound decisions.
• Technical financial and accounting expertise in a complex, commercial setting.
• Degree in accounting, finance, business management, or equivalent experience.
