You will bridge finance and business, partnering with operational leadership to drive contract profitability, support M&A integration, and deliver actionable insights shaping strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience post-qualification: 3–5 years in a facilities management, technical services, or contract-led environment.
• Proven track record in business partnering and translating financial data into actionable insights.
• Experience with M&A, post-merger integration, or synergy tracking is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills and use of financial systems for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key financial advisor to non-finance stakeholders and operational leads; challenge the status quo and protect margins.
• Support acquisitions and post-merger integration from a commercial perspective.
• Oversee management accounts and board packs; shift to forward-looking variance analysis and forecasting.

Nirvana Search is exclusively partnering with a highly successful, Private Equity-backed Technical Services and Facilities Management Group to recruit a commercially astute Senior Finance Business Partner.

Operating in a fast-paced, contract-led environment, the business is executing an aggressive buy-and-build strategy and undergoing a period of rapid acquisitive and organic growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly commercial finance professional to bridge the gap between finance and the wider business.

You will be joining a dynamic PE-backed environment where you will partner closely with operational leadership and the Executive team to drive contract profitability, support M&A integration, and deliver actionable insights that influence strategic decision-making.

You will be responsible for:

• Commercial Business Partnering: Act as the key financial advisor to non-finance stakeholders and operational leads. Challenge the status quo, drive deep-dive analysis into project and contract profitability, and ensure margins are protected across the group.
• M&A & Post-Merger Integration: Support the wider executive team with the commercial evaluation of target acquisitions and play a hands-on role in the financial onboarding and integration of newly acquired entities.
• Management Reporting & Insight: Oversee the delivery of high-quality management accounts and board packs, shifting the focus from historical reporting to forward-looking variance analysis, forecasting, and commercial commentary.
• Working Capital & Cash Flow: Partner with operational teams to drive a robust working capital management strategy, maintaining tight controls over WIP (Work in Progress), billing, and cash flow forecasting.
• Process Optimisation & Scalability: Identify and implement continuous improvements across financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows to ensure the finance function can seamlessly scale with ongoing M&A activity.

Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for a highly driven candidate who is ready to accelerate their career in a highly visible, commercially focused role within a fast-paced service environment.

• Experience: 3-5 years post-qualification experience, ideally within a Facilities Management, Technical Services, Building Services, or contract-led engineering environment.
• Commercial & Analytical Edge: A proven track record of business partnering, with the ability to translate complex financial data (including WIP and contract margins) into clear, actionable commercial strategies.
• M&A & PE Exposure: Prior experience within a highly acquisitive or Private Equity-backed environment is a distinct advantage, particularly exposure to post-merger integration or synergy tracking.
• Systems Savvy: Advanced Excel skills and experience leveraging financial systems to improve reporting processes.
