Job summary

Monsoon is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst - Retail to partner with the Retail Director and Regional Business Managers, driving profitability across the UK store estate and informing decision making for Monsoon and Accessorize stores.

You will deliver reporting and analysis on performance, highlight financial risks by store, lead UK budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to business cases for new store investments with timely post-investment appraisals.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with CIMA/ACA/ACCA designation.
• Retail or consumer-facing finance experience preferred.
• Experience partnering with non-finance managers.
• Strong communication and Excel/system skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are now looking for a Senior Finance Analyst - Retail to join our Finance team.

You will business partner the Retail Director and Regional Business Managers to drive profitability of our store estate and support decision making for both Monsoon and Accessorize stores

What will you do as a Senior Finance Analyst- Retail?

• Deliver insightful reporting and analysis to enable understanding of performance across the UK store estate

• Identify & highlight financial risks to Sales & profitability by store and drive recommendations for change

• Deliver the budget and forecasting processes for UK Retail business
  Input into business cases for new store investments and run timely post investment appraisals

• Review period-end actuals, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis on store costs/ overheads, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow forecast and providing clear, commercially focused Board level commentary

• Support the wider Commercial Finance team with cover and ad hoc support as required

What will you need to succeed as our Senior Finance Analyst- Retail?

• Fully Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
• Commercial finance experience in retail or consumer facing industry preferable
• Experience of business partnering with Non Finance Managers
• Proactive and "can-do" team player with a drive to make a difference
• Excellent communication – ability to articulate orally and in writing, complex and detailed information in an easy to understand manner to all levels of the business
• Strong Excel and System skills
