ASM Front-End Manufacturing Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Engineer I, Field Service, NPI, to lead first-of-kind tool installations, beta evaluations, and customer demonstrations at sites worldwide.

You will drive readiness, planning, startup activities, and qualification, ensuring smooth transitions into high-volume manufacturing. The role requires a strong technical background, hands-on installation and problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment field service, equipment engineering, process engineering, customer support engineering, or a related technical role.
Hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment installation, startup, qualification, or technology transfer activities.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment in customer-facing environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across customers and global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead first-of-kind tool installations, beta evaluations, customer demonstrations, and NPI deployments at customer sites.
Drive factory readiness reviews, installation planning, startup activities, and qualification execution.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues during system startup, commissioning, and qualification.
Partner with NPI Field Process Engineers to achieve process and hardware readiness objectives.
Collaborate with Product Engineering, Global Product Support, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to resolve technical challenges.
Support chamber upgrades, new hardware evaluations, and technology demonstrations.
Analyze tool performance data and provide recommendations to improve product reliability and customer experience.
Train regional service organizations on new products and technologies ahead of customer production ramps.
