This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and capable engineer to join a stable, forward-thinking business that values quality, safety, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

- Apply an in-depth working knowledge of BS5839-8, which is a critical requirement for this role.
- Identify and report on system faults, non-conformities, and necessary remedial works, producing accurate site documentation.
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support to engineering colleagues and clients.
- Follow all internal health & safety protocols and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Engage proactively with management and contribute to technical meetings and briefings.
- Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including timesheets, mileage logs, and expenses.
- Support with audits of vehicles, tools, and processes, ensuring ongoing compliance and readiness.
- Carry out any additional duties reasonably required by the Area Service Manager.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven background in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial audio systems.
- Extensive practical understanding of BS5839-8 and its application within real-world environments.
- Knowledge of audio hardware, basic electronics, and IT/networking.
- Relevant technical qualifications in electrical/sound engineering, or strong academic background in maths/science.
- Clear, professional communication skills – both verbal and written.
- IT literate, with experience using digital tools for diagnostics and reporting.
- Company Vehicle Provided – fully equipped for field engineering work.
- Competitive Pension Scheme – with employer contributions up to 10%.
- Annual Leave – 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the flexibility to buy or sell up to 5 additional days.
- A supportive and inclusive work culture with opportunities for long-term growth.
- Working Pattern: Day, night and weekend working required as suits the task.
If you are a reliable, knowledgeable engineer with strong experience in life safety audio systems and the motivation to work across high-profile sites, we would love to hear from you.
