Job summary

Kwik Fit in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to join our national field team, delivering advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and expert problem-solving across ICE, hybrid, and EV vehicles.

You will support centres nationwide, respond to urgent callouts, mentor technicians, and lead safety and HV procedures. This is a hands-on, autonomous role requiring strong communication and a commitment to high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic capability.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent and planned technical callouts.
• Deliver on-site diagnosis, repair and validation, including road testing.
• Coach and develop technicians across the network.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to centre teams.
• Lead technical excellence through advanced diagnostics.
• Carry out diagnostics across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Resolve complex, intermittent, and misdiagnosed faults with precision.
• Perform major repairs on engines, transmissions, and high‑voltage systems.
• Champion EV and hybrid safety with proper isolation procedures.
• Share insights on faults and trends and contribute to bulletins.
