Job summary

A leading care services organization in Birmingham is seeking a Service Manager to provide operational leadership across homecare services. This role involves overseeing care quality and risk management, leading package mobilization, and supporting staff. Ideal candidates should have substantial experience in supported living, a strong understanding of safeguarding, and the ability to work flexibly, including nights and weekends. A full UK driving license and experience with digital care-planning systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs and behaviors that challenge.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (mileage paid).
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership and oversight across services.
• Take a lead role in mobilizing packages of care.
• Complete reports following incidents, audits, and reviews.

Skills

Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities

Experience within supported living or community-based services

Strong understanding of safeguarding risk management

Ability to lead support and challenge staff practice

Ability to work flexibly including nights and weekends

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 4 or 5)
