Job summary

Comex 2000 UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Fibre Optic Engineer to join its UK team. You will handle fibre construction, activation, and maintenance across live and new-build networks, ensuring high-quality splices, tests, and documentation.

The role requires hands-on work in outdoor environments, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with clients. Experience with FTTP/GPON architectures and NRSWA is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in fibre splicing and testing.
• Strong ability to read and interpret network diagrams and documentation.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test fibre cables (2–432 core SM).
• Perform fusion splicing and testing with OTDR/Power meters.
• Build/install ODFs, joints, cabinets, and enclosures; carry out live network splicing and repairs.
