Job summary

Elite Associates is recruiting a commercially minded Merchandiser to join their growing Merchandising team. You will drive sales by planning product ranges, analyse performance, forecast demand and balance stock across stores and digital channels.

You will collaborate with Buying and Design to deliver trend-led ranges, manage the critical path, and actively trade to maximise margin. You will lead and develop junior team members, supported by senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and trading skills with ability to use data to drive commercial decisions.
• Experience owning departmental strategy and aligning with wider business and financial objectives.
• Proven experience managing, mentoring and developing a team.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing, margin and profitability.
• Experience managing stock and intake planning to optimise availability and minimise risk.
• Proactive and innovative approach with the confidence to challenge processes.
• Experience in an omni-channel retail environment is highly desirable.
• Highly organised with strong prioritisation and time-management skills.

• Strong systems knowledge and WSSI management experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and profit by planning and managing product ranges across your department.
• Analyse trading performance, forecast demand and make key trading decisions around stock levels, intake and pricing, ensuring product is in the right place at the right time.
• Develop understanding of customer needs across channels to inform commercial decisions.
