Job summary

Just Farm, based in Gloucestershire, seeks a senior professional to help farmers and landowners access DEFRA funding schemes, championing growth and profitability. The role is office-based on a full-time basis from our Bourton-on-the-Water office, requiring a strong understanding of farm finance and consultancy services.

You will lead in delivering schemes, building relationships, networking, and mentoring the Client Service Specialist team to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Degree level educated; capable of becoming a subject matter expert and presenting complex concepts.
• Team player who can work in a tight-knit team and drive toward a shared goal.
• Pro-active self-starter with motivation to tackle challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to listen, understand client ambitions and influence decisions.
• Responsible with ownership of workload and personal objectives.
• Results-driven and outcome-focused with clear targets.
• Passionate about the countryside and farming businesses.
• Experience in Farm Business Consultancy is advantageous.
• Full-time office-based post; live within 40 miles of Bourton on the Water, Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities

• Develop a leading knowledge of the core DEFRA annual payment schemes; Higher Tier Stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentive under ELMs.
• Identify and generate new business opportunities and establish trade relationships.
• Build and grow existing business relationships by communicating Just Farm values and service.
• Design and deliver schemes with Clients to maximise resilience and profitability through relevant DEFRA schemes.
• Ensure the Client Service Specialist team is fully briefed to deliver exceptional service to the Client.
• Attend industry events to network with potential clients and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
• Complete Annual Reviews for our growing Client base.
