Job summary

Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment is seeking a Family Fee Earner/Solicitor for a permanent, full-time role based in Washington, Tyne and Wear. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years’ qualified experience and will handle a range of family law matters with independence and teamwork.

You will manage client relationships, draft and review documents, and represent clients at hearings while maintaining high professional standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years qualified.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client interviews to gather relevant information and provide clear legal advice on family law issues.
• Draught, review and negotiate legal documents including agreements, court applications, and correspondence.
• Manage all aspects of cases relating to divorce, child custody, financial settlements, domestic abuse, and other family-related matters.
• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations and negotiations where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide timely updates to clients regarding case progress and respond to queries effectively.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of client service and adherence to firm policies.
• Keep abreast of changes in family law legislation and case law to ensure advice is current and accurate.
• Contribute to business development activities including networking and client relationship management.
