Job summary

Adkins-and-Cheurfi-Recruitment is seeking a Family Fee Earner for a part-time role in Sunderland (or Newcastle depending on location). The role is permanent, 3 days per week, and office-based. Salary £30,000–£45,000 per annum pro rata.

You will provide comprehensive support in family law, manage a workload, draft documents, interview clients, and prepare cases for court.

Requirements: Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with current practising certificate in family law; minimum two years PQE.

Qualifications

• Two years’ PQE in family law.
• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising certificate in family law.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of family law matters including divorce and child arrangements.
• Conduct client interviews to gather information and provide tailored advice.
• Draft pleadings, agreements, court applications, and correspondence.
• Prepare cases for court hearings and liaise with barristers and court officials.
• Negotiate settlements and maintain billing records.
• Keep client records in compliance with standards.
• Stay updated on changes in family law legislation and case law.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Work on a part-time schedule, based in Sunderland (office based).
