Job summary

Healthxchange is seeking a Facilities and Safety Manager to oversee safety, GDP/compliance and facilities across London, Manchester and Reading sites, plus the RDC. You’ll drive policy, risk assessments and training in partnership with the COO, Responsible Person and Superintendent Pharmacist, ensuring GDP/GPhC standards are met.

Qualifications

• ESSENTIAL: NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities management and/or health and safety in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the health and safety policy and management system across all sites.
• Carry out risk assessments including COSHH, manual handling, DSE, and new/expectant mothers.
• Investigate accidents and near misses; identify root causes and track corrective actions.
• Manage RIDDOR reporting and maintain the accident log.
• Run site safety audits and inspections; report findings to COO.
• Ensure sufficient trained first aiders and fire marshals at each site.
• Oversee fire safety, security and access control across multiple sites.
• Develop business continuity and emergency plans for each site.
• Lead facilities workstreams for new sites, relocations and fit-outs.
• Own facilities and health and safety budget; report monthly to leadership.
• Line-manage facilities team and oversee contractors.
