Job summary

Imperial Business School is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Operations and Safety Manager to lead day-to-day facilities, services and safety across our busy multi-site environment. You will own operations, set policies, manage budgets and develop staff to deliver value for money and excellent customer experience.

You will oversee health and safety governance, risk assessments, inspections and staff training, while collaborating with internal teams, contractors and external partners to

Qualifications

• Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant field.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification, ideally IOSH Managing Safely.
• Experience in line management, recruiting and coaching staff.
• Experience with financial management, procurement and contractor management.
• Experience of health and safety in a complex environment.
• Strong customer-service focus and ability to deliver value-for-money facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and continuous improvement of facilities, services and operations across multiple sites.
• Develop operating models, policies and processes for new, refurbished or shared spaces.
• Oversee health and safety governance, risk assessments, audits and staff training.
• Manage Facilities Operations team, set priorities and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Build relationships with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and external partners.
• Oversee procurement and budgets, negotiate with suppliers to ensure value for money.
• Use feedback to improve processes and the staff and student experience.
