Job summary

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading UK-based, multi-sector organisation to recruit a Head of Facilities on a confidential basis. This leadership role is responsible for the management, performance, and strategic development of a large and diverse property and facilities estate across the UK.

You will own safety, compliance, cost control, and continuous improvement across a multi-site environment, with on-site presence five days per week, and you will report to executive leadership to

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a senior Facilities Management leadership role.
• Experience operating in a multi-site environment across sectors such as retail, industrial, logistics or hospitality.
• Strong background in managing technical engineering teams and external contractors.
• Proven track record in contract management, procurement, and supplier negotiation.
• Delivery of capital projects, refurbishments, and maintenance programs in live environments.
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent budget management and cost control capability.
• Professional membership of RICS, CIOB, or IWFM (BIFM).
• Experience implementing FM systems or property management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end facilities and property services across a multi-site UK estate.
• Set up, tender, and manage contractors, suppliers, and service partners.
• Develop and maintain statutory compliance schedules for full regulatory adherence.
• Own facilities budgets with robust cost control and continuous service improvement.
• Oversee maintenance, refurbishments, and capital projects in live environments.
• Implement and maintain H&S, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Lead development and rollout of a property-based FM system across the business.
• Audit completed works for quality, cost efficiency, and SLA delivery.
• Provide reporting and insight to Executive leadership on property requirements.
• Drive standardisation, process improvement, and innovation across FM activity.
• Build cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment and delivery.
