Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Principal Examiner and Content Author for GCE A Level Further Pure Mathematics (8FM0/9FM0). The role requires ensuring standards align with specifications, leading standardisation processes, and producing accurate assessments.

Applicants should bring QA experience and strong communication skills to Pearson's assessment teams. We offer opportunities to contribute to multiple examination components, with responsibilities spanning content creation, review, and publication

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality assurance and assessment practice.
• History of moderation and/or marking a regulated qualification.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings such as pre-standardisation and standardisation and participate in others such as appeals against results and post-series reviews.
• Prepare and collate materials for standardisation and support supervisors and Examiners.
• Monitor progress of supervisors/Examiners and review responses for clarification.
• Provide feedback on drafts at each stage and attend sign-off meetings.
• Sign off final assessment materials and support modified paper amendments as required.
