Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Principal Examiner for GCE A Level Pure Mathematics to oversee standards and standardisation across components. You will lead meetings, coordinate marking, and ensure materials align with specifications and assessment criteria.

The role emphasizes integrity, policy adherence, and collaboration with examination teams to ensure high-quality assessment materials throughout the production process.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance and assessment practice.
• History of moderation and/or marking a regulated qualification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead training such as standardisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead standardisation meetings and coordinate marking activities.
• Prepare and review assessment materials and mark schemes.
• Support supervisors and examiners throughout marking and QA processes.
• Provide reports and feedback to Pearlsson (awarding committee).
• Ensure materials meet accessibility, inclusivity and regulatory guidelines.
