Job summary

The University of Bristol is seeking a talented systematic reviewer or quantitative researcher to join the BEAM Centre within Bristol Medical School. You will work on evidence synthesis projects for NIHR Bristol ESG and BUcKLES ESG, collaborating with statisticians, information specialists, qualitative researchers and health economists.

This full-time position (0.6 FTE possible) offers hybrid working with regular office presence and a start date around 1 November 2026, lasting until 31 March

Qualifications

Strong training in quantitative research including medical statistics concepts.
Enthusiasm for evidence synthesis and living systematic reviews.
Some experience with systematic reviews; training will be provided.
Excellent critical appraisal skills across study designs.

Responsibilities

Conduct evidence syntheses from maps and rapid reviews to full systematic reviews.
Develop review protocols, screen studies, extract data, assess risk of bias, perform GRADE and data interpretation.
Perform narrative and quantitative syntheses (e.g., meta-analyses) for diverse projects.
Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, grant proposals and conference presentations.
