Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Exeter Sandy Park is seeking a Senior Events Manager to lead a team of Sales Executives and secure meetings, conferences, corporate events and private functions. You will oversee planning, coordination and flawless execution from enquiry to post-event review, driving revenue and guest satisfaction.

With 3-5 years in hospitality events and strong commercial and leadership capabilities, you will manage client relationships, proposals and a strategic sales pipeline, while

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in event management, conference & banqueting, hospitality sales.
• Proven experience managing corporate events and large-scale functions.
• Strong commercial awareness and management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete event lifecycle from enquiry through to execution and post-event review.
• Lead pre-event, operational and post-event meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop detailed event programmes and function sheets.
• Coordinate all event requirements with Operations, Food & Beverage, Rooms Division and external suppliers - operational support may sometimes be required.
• Oversee room allocations, rooming lists, meeting space utilization and event logistics.
• Ensure all events are delivered in line with brand standards and client expectations.
