Network Rail is seeking a senior engineer to take ownership of ETCS delivery for a major programme on a high‑capacity intercity railway. The role requires leadership across engineering delivery, system integration and assurance, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

You will drive policy, standards and training, while coordinating across disciplines and external stakeholders. You will manage delivery within time, cost and quality constraints, contributing to a safer, more reliable railway system

Qualifications

• Experience as senior engineer leading ETCS deployment projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety management and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Leadership and mentoring of engineers toward professional registration.

Responsabilités

• Provide programme engineering ownership and delivery for ETCS on a high-capacity intercity railway.
• Lead system integration and system assurance activities across vehicle, trackside and telecoms.
• Set policy, standards, and operational processes for engineering delivery.
• Deliver multiple major digital signalling schemes within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary activity and develop technical capability and competency frameworks.
• Represent Network Rail to industry bodies and regulatory stakeholders.
