Job summary

KLA is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to advance state-of-the-art plasma etch processes. You will lead tech development, optimize processes, and build physics-based models to accelerate product development and manufacturing performance.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to technology innovation while interfacing with customers for demonstrations and field transfers.

Qualifications

• Ideally MSc/PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
• Experience with plasma, CFD or digital twins is advantageous.
• Strong data-driven and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and qualification of advanced plasma process technologies.
• Develop and validate simulation models for complex systems.
• Interface with customers for demos, qualifications, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer processes to field.
