• Analyse project docs, identify risks, and prepare cost plans and budgets.
• Lead tender submissions and provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to drive growth and repeat work.
• Mentor and develop junior estimators with guidance on estimating.

Senior Estimator - Refurbishments

£90,000 - £100,000 + Package

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a highly reputable and growing contractor with a strong presence in the refurbishment & fit-out sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has significant experience in delivering high-value, complex fit-out projects, particularly in the warehouse and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and detailed estimates for large-scale refurb/fit-out projects, with a focus on CAT A commercial and warehouse schemes, ranging up to £10m in value.
• Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely submission of tenders.
• Analyse project documentation, identify potential risks, and prepare detailed cost plans and budgets.
• Lead the preparation of tender submissions and provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance business growth and repeat work opportunities.
• Mentor and develop junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise on all aspects of estimating.

Experience & Skills Required:

• A proven track record as a Senior Estimator, specifically within the refurbishment or fit-out industry, ideally having worked on commercial and warehouse CAT A projects.
• Experience managing large-scale projects up to £10m in value.
• Strong knowledge of pricing, procurement, and cost management within fit-out and construction projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A strong understanding of building regulations, industry standards, and best practices in estimating.
• A relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a similar field is desirable.
