Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead the estimation process across construction projects from groundworks through to completion. You will work closely with Project Managers and the broader team to develop robust, fully substantiated estimates.

The role requires a strong background in construction M&E estimating, excellent analytical skills, and detail-oriented, proactive approach.

Qualifications

Strong background in construction M&E estimating and a keen eye for detail.
Detail-oriented and organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Good communication, analytical, presentation and reporting skills.
Candidate must be proactive and self-driven.
Strong IT and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Lead estimation process across all stages of construction from groundworks to final project completion.
Work closely with Project Managers and wider project team to develop robust, accurate estimates.
Absorb and assimilate information quickly from technical documents to build estimates.
Assess material, labour, and plant requirements for project estimates.
Produce quantities for building works to assist pricing, minimising costs and maximising value.
Simplify technical data and scope to build client-focused estimates and WBS.
Carry out benchmarking as required.
Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
