Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Senior Estimator to join the Work Winning team on major water and civil infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will lead pricing from early-stage opportunities to tender submission, develop robust estimates, and work with pre-construction, engineering, commercial and operations teams to secure winning bids. This role demands strong analytical and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Strong Senior Estimator/Estimator experience within a Tier 1 or major infrastructure contractor.
• Strong civil engineering background and knowledge of water, utilities or major civils.
• Understanding of construction methodologies and buildability.
• Knowledge of risk, pricing and commercial principles.
• Experience leading estimating activities on complex tenders.
• Analytical, numerical and strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded with a focus on winning work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of estimates for major civil engineering and water projects.
• Take ownership of pricing from early-stage opportunity through tender submission.
• Develop detailed and commercially robust estimates.
• Review methodologies, build-ups, risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, commercial and operational teams.
• Coordinate estimating activities across complex tenders.
• Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness.
• Support development of winning strategies and value-engineered solutions.
• Present estimates and pricing strategies to senior stakeholders.
