Job summary

Referment is partnering with a market-leading specialist engineering and infrastructure contractor to appoint two Senior Estimators to join their expanding Pre-Construction team. The roles are based at the company’s London HQ and offer the opportunity to lead high-value bids on nationally significant infrastructure projects.

You will oversee bids from enquiry to award, develop strategies with senior leadership, chair bid meetings, and mentor junior estimators.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading bid teams on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple high-value tenders simultaneously.
• A proactive leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop others.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex bids from initial enquiry through to successful contract award.
• Develop bid strategies alongside senior leadership.
• Chair bid meetings and lead multidisciplinary estimating teams.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Manage tender budgets, programmes and risk registers.
• Prepare commercial and technical submissions to the highest standard.
• Lead tender settlement meetings and project handovers.
• Mentor and develop junior estimators and bid professionals.
