Gleeds Energy is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Midlands-based team, delivering robust estimates for a large infrastructure programme. You will work with client managers, engineers and finance to ensure transparent cost bases and rigorous governance across the project lifecycle.

The role combines site, office and home-working in a hybrid model, offering flexible working hours and clear career progression within a global property and construction consultancy.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating or cost management within complex engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong first-principles estimating and cost assurance capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative with multidisciplinary teams.
• HNC/HND or degree in cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional body membership (RICS/ACostE/APM/CIOB) desirable.
• Ability to obtain client onboarding, identity, security and site-access clearances.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for a large infrastructure programme.
• Support estimate reviews and cost assurance, testing scope, rates and risk.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, planners, risk, commercial and finance teams.
• Develop estimate plans and lead defined estimating activities.
• Apply established estimating techniques and align scope, schedule, risk and cost.
• Document estimates with governance, and present for approval.
• Support change control and cost forecasting through project lifecycle.
