Job summary

Gilbert-Ash Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator to compile accurate, analytical estimates for high-value tender enquiries. You will analyse tender docs, prepare quantities, price tenders, and ensure compliance with building legislation and ESG commitments.

This role requires strong analytical ability, excellent communication, and proven experience in a Construction/Fit Out environment. Eligibility to work in the UK and Ireland is essential, along with a relevant qualification and CIOB

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience of Estimating Projects over £15 million in value.
• Experience working in the Construction Industry.
• Understanding of construction specifications, reports and drawings.
• Understanding of project logistics and schedules.
• Knowledge of building law and regulations.
• Experience negotiating contracts with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender documentation and prepare material/subcontract enquiries.
• Prepare builders’ quantities/schedules for estimates as needed.
• Price tender documentation accurately with appropriate labour/material rates.
• Produce data for tender finalisation meetings and stakeholder review.
• Maintain ISO 9001/14001 quality and environmental procedures.
