Job summary

First Military Recruitment is proudly partnering with a leading business to recruit a Senior Estimator with a hard landscaping focus for Chesterfield.

You will prepare detailed cost estimates for external works, collaborate with clients and subcontractors, and lead a team of estimators to maintain budgets and quality.

This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £80,000 per year DOE, standard Monday–Friday hours, and benefits including a pension and training.

• Experience as a Senior Estimator for external works and hard landscaping.

• Mentor to junior estimators and foster collaboration.
• Strong communication with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for external works and hard landscaping projects.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to stay on track and budget.
• Lead and mentor a team of estimators, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Encourage a supportive atmosphere where learning and growth are encouraged.
• Identify risks and opportunities and introduce new ideas and processes to benefit the team and business.

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Senior Estimator (with a background in Hard Landscaping) on a permanent basis due to growth located at their Chesterfield location.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for external works and hard landscaping projects.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and our project teams to keep everything on track and budget compliant.
• Lead and mentor a team of up-and-coming estimators, passing on your knowledge and creating a thriving, collaborative atmosphere.
• Encourage a supportive atmosphere where everyone is motivated to learn, grow, and contribute.
• Use your expertise to identify risks, opportunities, and introduce new ideas and processes that benefit both the team and the business.
