Nicholas Associates are seeking a Senior Estimator for a reputable groundworks contractor to strengthen the commercial team on large-scale developments. You will lead pricing and tendering for groundworks and civil packages ranging from £5m to £20m+ and collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers.

Ideal candidates bring proven estimator experience in groundworks/civil engineering, NEC & JCT familiarity, and strong Excel/forecasting skills to deliver accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in commercial groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong numeracy and commercial awareness with attention to detail.
• Proficient with estimating software and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and lead detailed cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tenders
• Work closely with the commercial, technical, and operational teams
• Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
• Identify risk and opportunity in tender submissions
