Job summary

Buildforce Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing pre-construction team on high-value UK projects.

The role offers fully remote work with flexibility while contributing to tenders from £10m to £60m across commercial, industrial and retail sectors. You will prepare detailed estimates, analyze drawings and specifications, value subcontractor quotes, and manage multiple tenders to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Proven experience working for a main contractor.
Experience pricing projects in £10m-£60m range.
Strong estimating experience across commercial, industrial and/or retail.
Strong understanding of construction methods, costs and procurement.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

Preparing detailed estimates and tenders for projects typically valued between £10m and £60m.
Analysing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value-engineering solutions.
Working closely with Design, Commercial and Pre-Construction teams.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Contributing to tender strategy and presentation.
Ensuring estimates are accurate, competitive and delivered within required deadlines.
Supporting the wider pre-construction team through to successful project handover.
