Job summary

MK Search are recruiting an experienced Electrical Estimator for a fully remote role with a leading M&E contractor in the UK. You will prepare detailed estimates, review drawings and specifications, and produce take-offs for tender submissions.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E or Building Services sector.
Strong understanding of electrical building services installations.
Experience pricing commercial, life sciences, industrial, warehouse or data centre projects would be advantageous.
Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans for tender submissions.
Review drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.
Produce accurate take-offs and pricing for electrical packages.
Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
Work closely with the pre-construction, design and commercial teams throughout the tender process.
Attend tender meetings and contribute to bid strategy.
Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
