Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our civil engineering and infrastructure team in the UK. You will lead the estimating process on highways, earthworks, drainage, structures and related activities, reviewing tender documents and developing first-principle estimates for self-delivered projects.

You will work with bid teams, identify risks, prepare tender documentation, support adjudications and mentor junior estimators. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years estimating experience in civil engineering or infrastructure with a proven track record.
• Experience pricing complex projects for main contractors or civil specialists.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts, measurement methods and drawings interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Attend site visits to understand scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed first-principle estimates for self-delivered civil works.
• Develop production rates, resources, methodologies and programme assumptions with internal teams.
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor enquiries and ensure competitive pricing.
• Identify tender risks, opportunities and key assumptions.
• Prepare tender documentation and supporting reports for governance and client submission.
• Support tender adjudications and handover to delivery teams.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior estimators.
