Job summary

Anderselite is seeking an experienced Estimator/Senior Estimator for civil engineering and EHV power projects in the Wigan area. The role covers cost estimation for earthworks, drainage, foundations, roads, ducting, and temporary works, with full tender lifecycle management from ITT review to submission.

The successful candidate will use first principles estimating, obtain quotations, and work with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver competitive, compliant bids on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering estimating.
• Experience with EHV power or related sectors is preferred.
• Ability to interpret tender documents and drawings.
• Strong liaison with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Proven track record delivering bids to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review ITT documentation and assess requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates for EHV substation civils and cable works.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage tender enquiries and ITT submissions within deadlines.
• Attend site visits and coordinate tender programmes and submissions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on bids.
• Ensure professional packaging and delivery of bid documents.
• Follow up with clients for feedback after tender.
