Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join an independent ICP in the UK, leading tenders and developing accurate estimates for complex HV projects. You will coordinate with design, engineering and delivery teams to ensure bids are robust and competitive.

The role requires deep HV substation experience (11kV/33kV/132kV) and a proactive, autonomous working style. Hybrid working from our Anglia office with full remote flexibility for the right candidate is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven background in UK power, energy, utilities, or substation engineering.
• Deep technical familiarity with 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV substation projects.
• Experience pulling together commercial estimates and bids in ICP/DNO environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs and BoQs.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of autonomous work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering for complex HV infrastructure schemes.
• Price scopes for 11kV-132kV substations, grid connections, cabling and civil works.
• Conduct risk and commercial reviews, applying value engineering and mitigations.
• Collaborate with design, engineering and delivery teams to ensure buildability and DNO compliance.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
