Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its Work Winning team on major water and civil engineering projects across the UK. You'll lead the preparation of accurate, competitive estimates, own pricing from early opportunity through tender submission, and work closely with pre-construction, engineering and commercial teams to secure winning bids.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior estimator/estimator roles within Tier 1 or major infrastructure contractors.
• Strong civil engineering background.
• Experience on water, utilities, infrastructure or major civils projects.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies and buildability.
• Deep knowledge of risk, pricing and commercial principles.
• Experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary tenders.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, commercially minded approach with a desire to win work.

Responsibilities

Job description

I'm working with a leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractor that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing Work Winning team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in pricing and securing major water and civil engineering projects, working on complex, high-value schemes across the UK.

You'll take a leading role in developing accurate, competitive and commercially robust estimates, working closely with pre-construction, engineering, commercial and operational teams to put together winning solutions.

The role

• Lead the preparation of estimates for major civil engineering and water projects
• Take ownership of pricing from early-stage opportunity through to tender submission
• Develop detailed and commercially robust estimates
• Review construction methodologies, build-ups, risks and opportunities
• Work closely with design, engineering, commercial and operational teams
• Lead and coordinate estimating activities across complex tenders
• Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness
• Support the development of winning strategies and value-engineered solutions
• Present estimates and pricing strategies to senior stakeholders

What they're looking for
