Job summary

AVK is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team. The role drives strategic cost advice, prepares high‑quality estimates for complex, high‑value projects, and manages tender deliverables across pre‑construction.

You will collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams, lead tender meetings, advise on procurement risks and pricing strategies, and mentor junior staff while maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in estimating across sectors and project types.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple high-quality estimates under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own all estimating documentation and ensure quality control
• Lead tender meetings and sign-off processes
• Deliver accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions
• Develop pricing strategies and oversee bid preparation
• Review project documents to ensure compliance and identify risks
• Maintain reliable cashflow forecasts
• Coordinate inputs from supply chain and internal teams
• Advise clients on procurement, risk, and estimating strategy
• Act as a client-facing lead throughout the estimating process
• Drive improvements in estimating tools and processes
• Mentor junior team members
• Ensure outputs meet client expectations and deadlines
• Champion use of cost databases and benchmarking
• Build supply chain relationships and gather market intelligence

We’re looking for a new Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team here at AVK. The role will play a key role in the estimating function across complex and high-value projects. It provides strategic cost advice, manages estimating deliverables, and ensures commercial integrity throughout the pre-construction phase.
