AVK is seeking a Senior Estimator to join the Estimating team, delivering strategic cost advice and managing estimating deliverables across complex, high-value projects in the energy solutions space.

The role focuses on leading tender processes, ensuring commercial integrity, and mentoring junior staff while coordinating inputs from supply chain and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with estimating across sectors and project types.
• Strong commercial and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Own all estimating documentation and ensure quality control.
• Lead tender meetings and sign-off processes.
• Deliver accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Develop pricing strategies and oversee bid preparation.
• Review project documents to ensure compliance and identify risks.
• Maintain reliable cashflow forecasts.
• Coordinate inputs from supply chain and internal teams.
• Advise clients on procurement, risk, and estimating strategy.
• Act as a client-facing lead throughout the estimating process.
• Drive improvements in estimating tools and processes.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Ensure outputs meet client expectations and deadlines.

We're looking for a new Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team here at AVK. The role will play a key role in the estimating function across complex and high-value projects. It provides strategic cost advice, manages estimating deliverables, and ensures commercial integrity throughout the pre-construction phase.
