Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director of Estimating to lead production of detailed estimates and cost plans for major programmes. You will drive best practice and support bid leadership, interfacing with clients and consultants across infrastructure sectors.

You will oversee teams, contribute to business growth, and stay abreast of developments in estimation techniques. The role emphasizes leadership, quality, and delivery on global projects.

Qualifications

• Proven Estimating Management experience.
• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
• Experience of working with estimating software packages.
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB /A. Cost E.
• Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects.
• Experience of working in the Infrastructure sector (Rail, air, power, highways).
• Experience in leading and managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes.
• Promote estimating best practice within Turner & Townsend.
• Contribute to departmental objectives and bid leadership.
• Stay abreast of developments in your technical area.
• Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
• Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Provide direction to staff and mentor juniors.
• Manage staff on assigned tasks and knowledge sharing.
