Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the UK is seeking an Associate Director-level Estimating professional with proven Water sector experience to lead the production of accurate estimates and cost plans for regional projects and major programmes. You will manage staff, interface with clients and other consultants, and contribute to winning work as part of a growing Infrastructure team across the South East and Midlands.

Qualifications

• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
• Experience of working with estimating software packages.
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
• Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects in the Water sector is essential.
• Experience in leading and managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading or managing the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes in the Water sector.
• Playing a leading role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend in line with our Estimating Vision 2030.
• Playing a leading role in the region, helping to achieve regional strategic goals.
• Playing a leading role in the achievement of departmental objectives.
• Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise.
• Working with Directors to construct bids for new work.
• Providing direction to staff working for you and with you on specific tasks.
• Responsibility for the development of junior members of the estimating team
• Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
• Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
• Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities.
• Staff management (where appropriate);
• Knowledge management.
