Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking Associate Director/Project Director in Estimating to lead production of robust cost plans for defence sector programmes across the UK. You will drive estimating strategy, mentor teams, and shape client bids while fostering best practices within the practice.

The role requires leadership across major programmes, ownership of complex estimates, and active engagement with MoD defence clients.

Qualifications

Proven Estimating Leadership experience.
Defence sector estimating experience.
Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
Experience of working with estimating software packages.
Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects.
Experience in the Defence sector.
Experience in leading and managing teams.

Responsibilities

Lead or manage production of accurate estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes.
Promote estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
Help achieve departmental objectives and stay current in own technical area.
Support or lead bids for new work with clear client direction.
Supervise staff and act as a role model for junior colleagues.
Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients; identify cross-selling opportunities.
Oversee staff work and knowledge management within the team.
