Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a senior Estates Compliance Lead to join the Trust's estates team. You will lead liaison with the subsidiary on compliance, assurance and governance, and shape the compliance strategy across the estate.

You will advise the Board and executives on risks and investment needs, oversee monitoring systems, audits and reporting, and act as the Authorised Person for key engineering disciplines, ensuring safe work and technical assurance.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in engineering, estates, FM or safety, or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer or professional membership (IHEEM/IWFM/IOSH/IIRSM/Engineering Council).
• Formal training in healthcare estates compliance, HTMs/HBNs or safety management with CPD.

Responsibilities

• Review and agree the Trust's estates technical compliance strategy in line with statutory, regulatory and NHS guidance.
• Advise the Board, Executive Team and senior leaders on compliance risks, priorities and investment needs.
• Oversee development and delivery of compliance monitoring systems, audits and reporting frameworks.
• Act as the Trust's Authorised Person for key engineering disciplines, ensuring safe systems of work and technical assurance.
• Drive innovation in compliance management, including digital monitoring tools and sustainability-focused solutions.
• Lead the Trust's liaison with its subsidiary organisation on estates compliance, assurance and governance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and professional excellence.
