Job summary

Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking a professional Property Asset Manager to lead the Council’s property portfolio. You will deliver management services across commercial, industrial, retail, agricultural and operational assets, with focus on income optimization and asset strategy.

You will oversee lease events, renewals, rent reviews and related transactions, mentor the Asset Management team, and collaborate with internal services and external advisors to drive efficiency and value.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional property management services across the Council’s corporate portfolio.
• Manage commercial, industrial, retail, agricultural, and operational property assets.
• Provide expert advice on leases, valuations, landlord and tenant matters, and asset strategy.
• Maximize income and ensure effective use of property assets.
• Support asset valuations in accordance with CIPFA guidance and professional standards.
• Develop effective relationships with Council services and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
• Manage and develop Property Asset Managers through supervision, performance management, recruitment, and training.
