Job summary

North Somerset Council is recruiting a Development Project and Asset Manager to join the Projects and Property Team. The role covers acquisition, disposal, leasing in and out of accommodation, valuation services and asset management in support of the Council’s strategic aims and Capital Programme.

You will lead on lease negotiations, provide Red Book valuations for capital accounting, and contribute to development projects.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalent (NQF level 6) or evidenced extensive experience in estate management, property and land development or surveying.
Qualified and practicing member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Significant and wide-ranging practical experience and knowledge of property estate management and Red Book valuations.

Responsibilities

Handle the acquisition, disposal, leasing in and leasing out of accommodation in support of the Council’s strategic aims and Capital Programme.
Provide a Valuation and Estate Management Service covering Landlord and Tenant and all aspects of managing the Council’s Estate.
Assist with audit-related valuation services including annual Red Book asset valuations for accounting purposes.
Support the delivery of development projects.
