Job summary

Novata Advisory is seeking a Senior Analyst to support and lead ESG advisory engagements across climate risk, carbon accounting, and regulatory workstreams. You will work with investor and portfolio clients to measure emissions, support decarbonisation efforts, and enhance data quality and ESG program maturity.

The role requires fluency in English and German, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and comfort working in a tech-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and German (spoken and written) and able to work directly with German-speaking clients.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in ESG advisory, sustainability, private equity, or ESG data/tech provider.
• Hands-on experience in carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, 3) and reporting.
• Experience with SBTi or similar decarbonisation frameworks.
• Ability to analyse large datasets and translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end ESG advisory engagements across climate risk, carbon, and regulatory workstreams.
• Support carbon accounting engagements including Scope 1–3 emissions and financed emissions; assist with SBTi processes.
• Support portfolio-level ESG analysis and benchmarking using Novata's platform and datasets.
• Contribute to climate risk assessments and decarbonisation strategy development.
• Guide clients through data collection and iterative ESG program improvement, including AI tools.
