Job summary

Octric Semiconductor, based in Newton Aycliffe, UK, seeks a multi-skilled Equipment Technician to maintain state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing equipment, maximise uptime and support process engineering. The role covers troubleshooting, calibration, and ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and related standards.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum of three years post apprenticeship
• High volume production/manufacturing environment experience

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance per defined schedule.
• Respond to breakdowns and restore machines to production quickly.
• Provide equipment expertise to support process conditions.
• Identify and implement machine improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support training of Technicians and Apprentices, share knowledge from external courses.
• Participate in 8D problem-solving during major events and contribute ideas.
• Develop and maintain a safe, environmentally conscious culture aligned with standards.
