Job summary

Octric Semiconductor in the northeast of England is seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to maintain state‑of‑the‑art compound semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will ensure machinery operates to specifications and supports ISO9001 / ISO14001 / OHSAS18001 standards, maximising uptime and reliability across the production line.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum of three years post apprenticeship
• High volume production/manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety Policies.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance in predefined schedule.
• Respond to breakdowns and return machines to production promptly.
• Provide equipment expertise to assist process-related issues.
• Identify and implement machine improvements to increase efficiency, yield, and productivity.
• Contribute to training of Technicians and Apprentices.
